What this patch fixes

  • Sharper picture: a new game races in 1024x768 instead of 640x480. You can switch between low, medium and high resolution under Options.
  • No more "not responding" window over the race.
  • If the game crashes or you close it, your normal screen resolution and the taskbar come back straight away. Before, you had to sign out of Windows to fix that.
  • The help buttons and the Internet button no longer send you off to a web page.
  • Your players, settings and scores are kept as usual.

The game itself is not included in this patch: you need your own copy, installed from the CD.

Installation

Before you start, make sure that:

  1. The game is installed.
  2. The official version 1.3 update of the game is installed.
  3. The patch 1.3 no-CD fix is applied to the game.

Then install the patch:

  1. Unzip the patch and put the EuropeRacing-Patch folder in your game folder (the folder with ER.EXE), or right next to it.
  2. Double-click Install.bat.
  3. Start the game with ER.EXE in the game folder.

Is your game folder somewhere else? Run -Install.bat -GameDir "C:\Games\Europe Racing" with the path to your game folder.
